Youth celebrate Earth Day with a week of volunteering activities including litter clean-up and planting flowers and trees.

Several kids met at the community center this Sunday and we made home made Valentines for our family, friends and neighbors.

 

Thanks to everyone who donated materials - the lace, beads and stickers really made some unique valentines that everyone enjoyed.

 

As with all our craft and other activities this event was free to community youth.

 

Special thanks also to all the kids who helped clean up the mess we made (and we made a good one)!

Youth decorated book marks, picture frames, friendship bracelets and wrote letters and cards to send to the troops overseas. They also sent books, candy and snacks for the soldiers.

We call it a swap but it's all for free! Everyone bring out new/like new clothes that people can use for the school year, We will meet at the community park at 7 p.m. and go through the clothes for our kids!!!

(April) Events committee will be meeting first Wednesday to stuff Easter eggs with candy and prizes

Each month, outside judges select a winner for the Yard of the Month contest. In addition to a sign to display in their yard, the winners also receive $50 off their rent.
